Farrah Colon with an MA in Counseling focusing on Marriage and Family and certified in Domestic Violence, specializes in client-centered therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and survivors of crisis and domestic violence
Farrah holds an MA in Counseling with a major in Marriage and Family from Cambridge College and a Certificate in Domestic Violence. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, crisis and domestic violence victims and survivors. Farrah uses a client-centered, humanistic approach, focusing on aspects of Existentialism, mindfulness, family systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while keeping careful consideration of cultural concerns and practices. She uses a strengths-based therapeutic approach to help clients acknowledge the various unique contexts which impact their lives, connect with their strengths, and learn new ways to live in wholeness.
On a personal note, Farrah enjoys rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats in Puerto Rico. She also enjoys cooking, watching documentaries, spending time with family and friends, and of course, her pets.
Farrah is supervised by an independently licensed supervisor.
