I’m Susan Bantu, a dedicated mental health counselor with a passion for helping individuals facing emotional challenges. With master’s degrees in Education: Counseling and Human Development, and African Studies, I offer a culturally responsive approach to my practice. My work includes authoring three psychology publications with Oxford University Press, highlighting my commitment to education and research.
I specialize in providing culturally sensitive mental health care for underserved communities, using evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and strength-based approaches. I also integrate play therapy and trauma-informed care to support individuals and families. As a co-founder of African Diaspora Youth, I advocate for mental health resources for youth with immigrant parents.
When I’m not working, I enjoy creative hobbies, cooking, and spending time in nature to recharge and promote personal growth. My goal is to make a meaningful impact, especially within multicultural communities.
