Alejandro Perez

Alejandro Perez is a bilingual Mental Health Counselor in the State of Massachusetts. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Alejandro holds a Master’s degree in Science in Counseling Psychology from Carlos Albizu University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He specializes in working with adults and teenagers presenting severe substance abuse and mental disorders, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Over the years, Alejandro gained clinical experience working in settings for severe mental disorders, including psychiatric hospitals, medication-assisted treatment, and legal settings.He has received training in the effects of tobacco use. He is also trained in the education of opiates and street drugs, HIV education, and other sexually transmitted diseases. Alejandro is trained in Narcan and overdose Prevention Plans, crisis intervention.

Alejandro, a native Puerto Rican, likes spending time at the beach, listening to music, going on road trips, playing and watching sports. For Alejandro, mental health is a passion. His therapeutic approach and goals are to provide clients with strategies that they could apply in their life situations and try their best to improve their lifestyle
