Mental health conditions we treat
Some of the reasons people come to us
don't even know if this is bad enough to need therapy” is one of the most common things we hear. It is. Here are some of the others.

Anxiety & Stress
The pace of New York normalizes a level of pressure that isn’t actually normal – the long hours, the commute, the cost of everything, the sense that slowing down isn’t allowed. Therapy helps you understand what’s setting it off and gives you something to do about it besides push through.

Trauma
Something happened, and your body hasn’t finished reacting to it. Our therapists move at your pace — you never have to tell the whole story before you’re ready.
Identity and belonging
Help improving communication, rebuilding trust, and navigating conflict or relationship disconnection together.

Relationships and family
The same argument on repeat, a household where the tension never quite lifts, a parent and teen who can’t get through a week. Patterns can shift once you can see them clearly.

Life transitions
A move between boroughs or out of the city, a new job, a family change, or just growing up somewhere that never slows down. Change is hard even when it’s expected, and you don’t need a diagnosis to deserve support through it.

Kids and teens who won't open up
A kid who’s gone quiet, or angry, or whose grades have slipped for no clear reason. This stretch of growing up is genuinely hard to navigate from either side of it. Our therapists give them a space that’s actually theirs, and keep you informed on what matters.

Testimonials
Honest words from happy clients
"Our therapist was incredibly compassionate and understanding, helping my kids navigate through some tough times. With their guidance, my children have made significant progress in their journey. Trust Therapeutics is truly a safe haven for families seeking help and support."
Fer-Ver
"We had a fantastic therapist and provided a really welcoming and constructive environment for us to work together on my issues. She helped me identify my own issues, and also get over real hurdles in my life. She provided numerous resources that I am still working my way through. I would highly recommend trying it out if you haven't!"
Naj Dot
"Our therapist at Trust Therapeutics is an amazing resource for the staff and students at Fenway High School. She provides individual counseling to students, consults with school faculty, and often provides resources and a helping hand to the interns at Fenway High. The students often leave counseling sessions with a smile on their face. She truly connects with and makes quite the difference in our students' lives. We are truly lucky to have her as an additional therapeutic resource."

Your Therapy Questions Answered
Frequently asked questions
Questions people ask — including the ones they almost don’t
Do I actually need therapy, or am I overreacting?
If it's affecting your days, it counts. You don't need a crisis or a diagnosis — plenty of people come in just wanting steadier ways to cope.
How does online therapy work in New York?
You meet your therapist by secure video from anywhere private in New York. You just need to be physically in the state at the time of your session, with a device, a camera, and a good connection.
Does my insurance cover online therapy in New York?
In most cases, yes. New York law requires private insurers to cover telehealth mental health care the same way they'd cover an in-person visit. We'll confirm your specific benefits before your first session.
Can I choose or switch my therapist?
Yes to both. Tell us who you'd like; if they're full, we'll find you a fit. And if it's not right after a session or two, switching is easy.
Do you offer therapy in Spanish?
Yes — several of our therapists work in Spanish. Ask when you reach out, or use the language filter on the therapist grid.
Do you work with children and teens?
Yes, ages 10 to 17 — Children's Therapy for ages 10–12 and Adolescent Therapy for ages 13–17. Each therapist explains up front what stays private and what gets shared with parents, so nobody's caught off guard.
Do you offer couples and family therapy?
Both. Couples therapy focuses on the two of you; family therapy can include parents, kids, teens, or whoever else needs to be there.
What's the difference between therapy and life coaching?
Therapy is clinical mental health care from a licensed therapist. Coaching is structured support for goals and direction — it doesn't diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and isn't a substitute for therapy.
What should I expect in the first session?
Mostly listening. What's going on, what you've tried, what you want to be different. Nothing to prepare.
Ready to start therapy in New York?
Reaching out is the part most people put off – and then wish they hadn’t. You don’t need the right words or a clear explanation of what’s wrong. Pick a time that works, and you’ll be talking to someone who gets it, often within the week.
